Reading sunday newspaper on friday....
On a rainy friday morning, the 19th of october 2012, I drove far east in New York to the New York Times Press. The organization one-to-world aims to enrich the experience of international students in the US and therefore organizeses various events, including this excursion.
Why did I mention the date and also the weather for the first time in one of my articles? Because its important to mark a point ;). As you see, I'm reading sunday's newspaper with the title "California in my mind" in the travel section.. uh yeah surfing and sun, that sounds like a good alternative when New York is just grey in grey.
Here I'm standing in the packaging room of "college-point", the press of New York Times which prints all papers for Northeastern US and international. Big rolls of paper - which look similar to huge toilet paper - with a length of 10 miles are converted into millions of newspapers every day - impressive operation. These halls must really be busy in the night, however during the day it was quite convienent and we had a nice tour.
