Biking again, first exam, REI and what helps in networking
Monday evening, i finally biked home again. 3 weeks after my injury, my knee was mobil enough to push the wheel... and I went for it ;). That remined me that I had made a biking movie when going down to Times Square (which is awesome - see yourself). Sorry for the shaking and bad resolution :)
Today I also had my first exam - Project Accounting. I was quite good prepared as I already expected it to happen last week.... somehow I missed that it was delayed for one week and so I got to study twice... which resulted in a 30-min record
. However, as also Majestix said (freely translated from german): You should not sell the pig before you slaughtered it.
After class I went down the west side of Hudson River. On the way, I found a very nice looking restaraunt and ordered a "German potata salad"... well judge yourself but I don't think that would be enough to fed a german
Next Station: REI - the outdoor&backpackers paradise.... I was not yet shopping yet, just enjoying this great store.
After all that fun, I went to a panel with the topic "International Careers with the UN". Was quite interesting and while doing the obligatory networking, I spoke about econometrics. The fact that I spoke about that topic and smiled made such an impression that the guy offered me immediately to bring me in contact with an economist at the UN... well let's see if that works ;)
