My body takes his time...

I already wanted to write a story about "1 month in New york" and all these great experiences. And I'm still going to do it, just from a little different perspective as something severe happened yesterday. Late in the evening (11pm), we had our IPED soccer game. We lost, however that was not severe. We lost even though I scored almost in the first minute. Also not severe. Severe for me was what happened later during the game. Got the ball, run, saw the line to the goal, step left, cut, crumbled on the floor. My feet just didn't support one more step. While swearing, I changed my language to German - natural instincts apparently . Out for the game, out for sports, out for biking around NY for some time. At least it's not broken. So not too severe. What do I take from it?

As I experienced a lot of things in New York in this one month (just check the blog ^^), I didn't gave my body much time to relax. I really planned to do this today, but well... Paytime was one day earlier.

Consequently today I came home with crunches instead my bike. What does this mean now for me? Well, shift back to low gear, focus on the things I still can do. Luckily it's mainly the thing I'm supposed to do: Studying! Not that I haven't done it before, however now there is not much else I can do... I have some other ideas... but let's stick to studying ;)

My dear colleagues felt sorry for me and I thank them for their support. However as I have described  one week ago with my BCG experience, I accept things as they happen. Evidently it is not possible to change the past. I just have to keep on going and maybe some day, I will understand.

Tied to the bed, I tried to work. Was just not really possible. So I choose to watch a film, maybe not something you would expect: The Polar express. It's a very touching movie about a young boy, travelling to the north  pole, having adventures with his new friends and finally seeing Santa Claus. And there are two things which I will keep in mind:

Believe

one thing about trains... it does not matter where they are going... what matters is deciding to get on!

Especially the last one somehow confirm one thing I keep in mind when deciding on certain things (including Fulbright Application)... it only matters deciding to get on! In the beginning I was thinking about Hawaii... i decided to get on... now the "train" led my to New York - and that's just great ;).

Or to say it with other words....All ways lead to Rome.. (or the north pole)
