Fordham University... Nixon, Lombardi and me :)

About my University.. well it is supposed to become the central part of my life here in New York (and it will!) and therefore I will just start with this beautiful place.

It is situated in the Bronx, and as soon as you enter, you realize you just entered another world! Everything green, stone buildings and a lot of crosses (it's the Jesuit University of New York!). Important fact, which I didn't knew before:

As well as some minor persons like Nixon, Truman, Kennedy, Alfons Gorbach (austrian chancellor) and a lot of other presidents.... but yeah forget about them, I'm gonna play on the very same ground as Vince Lombardi has played!!!! For all who don't know about him... shame on you... he is for American Football what Cordoba and Prohaska is for Austrian Soccer ;)

I will give you a few impressions of the campus:

On the upper right you see the main hall.. but it's not the only building that looks so fancy,... everyone does!!! In the lower right corner you see one example of the crazy american patriotism... it accounts as well for the university!! Cause it's a branded soap dispenser... and guess what: EVERYTHING IS BRANDED!!! Cups, Trashcans, laterns, even the tissues!!!

On the lower left corner,... one stone of the "Terasse of President" - Alfons Gorbach of Austria. And in the background...one side of the universities stade - home of the Fordham Rams (quite good sports team actually...). I already found out that it's easy to join intermural flag football teams and yeah... I'm going to do that ;).

To satisfy the people who were wondering about studying... yeah yeah I'm gonna do that ;). Just starting next monday (august 27th). Fyi: www.fordham.edu/iped - that's what I'm going to do ;)

And as a healthy mind needs to be well find... there is an awesome cafetaria for breakfast, lunch & dinner on campus... That's just the map where you find what, not the menu ^^

As you see,.. University life ain't becoming boring ;). I will keep you up to date with nice thoughts, funny stories and will add a video of campus tour shortly ;)
