fergana valley, "tote Hosen" and uzbek movie stars

Veröffentlicht auf von doubleutravelling.over-blog.de

I don't know how to start this article. Just until now, I posted very regularly the news events, but now I have one week of many memories from different regions, so I will try to focus on the most interesting.

First: Die Toten Hosen

The first impression was, wow there is a lot of police. The concert started already at 18:30, when the sun started to go down. Very epic ambience. There have been some germans also, maybe just arrived for the concert?

It was a very nice experience to see how everyone can enjoy the german music, even when they don't understand it (the uzbeks). Well, in his main elements rock is everywhere the same and so we have been dancing, singing and having fun. Luckily, there have been no problems with the police. I wanted to upload a movie, but unfortunatetly 300MB are too much for this blog site!

Second: Fergana Valley

The main aspect of this journey was the invitation to an Uzbek marriage in Fergana. It was very interesting to be there. There have been really a lot of people, about 300. But I have been told that its common there, like they invite really everyone they know.
The hole celebration started already at 17:00 and the table was filled with snacks and little fingerfood. After and after we got sup, bifsteck (no, it's not a steak,... just strange food) and sweets. We saw also the russian influence: 2 bottles of wodka for 10 people prepared!
We have been dancing a lot and got known to local people there. Thanks to this evening, we have been invited for the next days to different little villages, but even I had not a lot of time (had to be at the concert friday), I saw a lot of different corners.
For memory: cotton fields, knife in Shachrihon, Andijon place, Kokand construction sites, Magillon traditional silk factory, great breakfast --> picture

Third: The meeting with uzbek superstars

Well, I have to start with another memory of yesterday evening. After playing football with some english couchsurfing-friends, I walked trough the inner city to find something to eat. It was really hard, and finally I ended at the "Uzbek McDonalds": MIR Burger

Very motivated i ordered the Big Mir Menu (does the name sound familiar to you?)

What do you think? My fazit:

On my way home afterwards, I have been greated by two men, 30-35 years old. They have been very friendly and as it was not the first time, I got known to strangers like that, we started talking. One of him presendet himself as Shukhrat Yusupov (i hope i wrote the name correct). Have you ever heard of him? Well probably not interested in Kickboxing and russian movies, just as I'm. But he showed me pictures of his golden world championship belts and movie posters with his face. Well he is proud of that and I have another funny experience here in tashkent, including foto and autogramms of course ;).
