Council of foreign relations on Iran
As all of you know, New York has a lot to offer. One thing is special lectures and presentation. Two weeks ago, I went to a talk of Columbia University about a trip to North Korea. Quite interesting, especially as a student trip to North Korea is quite rare - they might have even been the first one.
Yesterday, I went with some colleagues to a lecture given by the Council of Foreign Relations ackling the question "Iran and the Bomb: Hold or hit". I won't go into the details here, I will just provide you with two pictures and corresponding funny facts:
1. Here you see the panel. In the middle was the moderator, equipped with 3 "Angry Birds" to notify the speakers when their time was over.
2. They did a survey with the question "Shall a foreign power strike Iran to prevent it from building the bomb" BEFORE and AFTER the debate to identify if there are changes in opinion due the discussions. It was exactly the same - however a question revealed that 2 people changed their mind .
