Austrian National day in New York
Even though I travel far, I keep in mind what moves my country - and so I got to celebrate the Austrian National Day on the 26th of October at the Austrian Consulate in New York.
It was a very nice reception where I met tons of Austrians of all kinds - friends, students, long-term employees in NY, tourists as well as somebody who screened my CV some time ago in Austria... all that together with good austrian vine - nice! Unfortunately no Schnitzel have been provided... :(
To start the whole evening, the consul mentioned some careers of Austrians in New York, pointed out that Vienna has once more been chosen as the most liveable city in the world and finished with our national anthem:
